Cable Gland Supermec CG 12N, Cable glands for non-armored and armored cables are commonly used in chemical and pretrochemical plants, offshore platforms, oil refineries and other industries where a hazardous atmosphere (flammable gases and dust) is potentially present.
Function
Cable glands are usually installed to allow direct entry of unarmoured (CG series) or armored (CGA series) cables into Ex-d and Ex-e enclosures to provide electrical connection with external circuits.
Cable glands for non-armored cables are equipped with a complete set of internal gaskets to suit any shape:
Condition. The CGF series sealing rings are female threaded to allow connection with rigid or flexible conduit protecting cables for certain types of installations.
Cable glands for armored cables, due to their particular design, are provided with a single gasket covering a wide range of cable sizes so as to facilitate selection and installation.
Cylindrical threaded cable glands are equipped with O-rings to provide and IP 66/68 protection to the enclosure.
The materials used to manufacture cable glands have been studied to provide maximum protection against corrosive agents present in the industry.
